Clarinet Camp

Teacher: Ben Sevy - Ben started playing the saxophone in the sixth grade and has been playing for over 17 years! He has a bachelors of music education band emphasis and bachelors in classical saxophone performance from CU Boulder and a masters in jazz saxophone performance from University of Louisville. He is currently running a beginner band program at five elementary schools in Highlands Ranch, is assistant director of the Colorado Jazz Ambassadors program, and teaches independently at camps, public schools, and through his own private lesson studio. 

Clarinet Camp for Beginners - Monday-Friday, 2 hours each day  |  Grades 5-8  |  $199
This camp is for students entering grades 5-8 with NO Clarinet playing experience. It is a great way to jump start basic knowledge and skill before band starts in school this fall. Taking this camp is the equivalent of TWENTY half hour private lessons in one week, and it will jump start the student’s knowledge base! Students will get to know the Clarinet, learning assembly, basic care, correct posture, reed and mouthpiece knowledge, key names, fingering, rhythm and beginning note reading and collaboration with others! Come join the fun, and the excitement of trying something new.
Space is limited to 8 students per camp.

Clarinet Camp Intermediate Level 1 - Monday-Friday, 2 hours each day  |  Grades 5-7  |  $199
This camp is for students with at least 1 year of band experience. Students will have fun rehearsing ensemble music, and participating in games and challenges that reinforce and improve their skills. Students will reinforce good posture, knowing their instrument, mouthpiece and reed knowledge, key names, fingering, techniques, rhythm skills and note reading while levelling up the difficulty of music. Come join us for a camp that keeps you playing this summer and have fun collaborating with friends!
