Orchestral Strings Camp

Teacher: Sian Battenfield - Sian is an Orchestral Strings Specialist. She has worked at Meadow View Elementary School and is a current Orchestra teacher at Ascent Classical Academy. She has extensive experience working with students in a wide range of educational and performance settings!

Orchestral Strings Camp Intermediate Level 1 - Monday-Friday, 2 hours each day  |  Grades 5-7  |  $199 
This camp is for orchestra students with at least 1 year of orchestra experience who play violin, viola, cello or double bass. This is the perfect camp for fun ensemble music, games and challenges that reinforce and GROW their skills. After their first year of orchestra, they might have some topics they aren’t secure in. Students will reinforce knowledge of their instrument (anatomy), how to clean it, rosin the bow, proper posture and how to hold the bow, bowing techniques, finger positions, rhythm skills, note reading and how to produce good sounds! Come join us for a camp that keeps you playing this summer, have fun collaborating with friends and leveling up things that can be tricky to master!
Space is limited to 8 students per camp.

Orchestral Strings Camp Intermediate Level 2 - Monday-Friday, 3 hours each day  |  Grades 6-8  |  $299
This camp is for students with 2 years playing experience, 1 at the middle school level who play violin, viola, cello or double bass. This camp will raise the level of difficulty using fun ensemble music, games and challenges to reinforce common string struggles and push the student to the next level! Come join us for a camp that keeps you playing this summer, have fun collaborating with friends and continue to level up the things that can be tricky to master!
